The following Terms and Conditions are binding and enforceable


  • These terms and conditions of business are between Careersinholland/Careersinsite B.V. and the client. The client is defined as the company utilising the services of Careersinholland/Careersinsite B.V. (hereafter referred to as "Careersinholland"). The candidate is the person introduced by Careersinholland to the client as the job applicant.

  • All business undertaken by Careersinholland on behalf of and towards the client is subject to these terms and conditions, unless specified otherwise by written agreement between Careersinholland and the client.

  • The introduction of a candidate to the client shall be deemed to have taken place once Careersinholland provides to the client any information which identifies a candidate (full name and/or phone number and/or address and/or emailadress), whether or not the candidate was known previously by the client.

  • An anonymous CV plus the first name of a candidate shall be provided to assess whether or not the candidate was known previously by the client.

  • If the hiring of a candidate by the client takes place within nine months of the initial introduction by Careersinholland, or any subsequent reintroduction, then such a hiring will be subject to these terms and conditions.

  • A hiring takes place once the client offers employment to the candidate (whether on a temporary or permanent basis) and the candidate accepts such employment, whether or not such an agreement is conditional upon the successful completion of a probationary period.

  • If a hiring takes place, a placement fee becomes payable by the client to Careersinholland on the start date of a candidate.

  • Careersinholland's placement fee is based on the total first year's remuneration of the candidate including holiday pay, excluding all other elements like bonuses, allowances etcetera.

  • Careersinholland's fees are set out below:

Annual basic subscription fee: 99,-*

Placement fee: 15% of the total first year's remuneration as described in paragraph 8 of these terms and conditions*

Additional services: as agreed

* Excluding 19% BTW (VAT)

  • Should the employment offered be for a period of less then 6 months, the fee will be recalculated accordingly, with a minimum of €1000,-.

  • The client is obliged to inform Careersinholland of the total remuneration offered to the candidate immediately after an offer of employment has been made by the client to the candidate. Should the client fail to advise Careersinholland of the hire within 14 days of the start date, a fee becomes payable of 15% of the anticipated first year's remuneration of the candidate, raised by €200,-.

  • Should the offer of employment be retracted prior to the candidate joining the client as employee, the client shall be liable for payment of an administration fee of €200,-, unless the offer is replaced by a new offer accepted by the candidate.

  • Information relating to candidates is strictly confidential. If the client passes on details of a candidate to a third party that results in a hiring of that candidate by or at the third party, the client shall pay Careersinholland a fee of 15% of the anticipated first year's remuneration of the candidate, raised by €200,-.

  • The client agrees to supply Careersinholland with any required purchase order prior to or on the start date of a candidate. Where the client fails to do so, Careersinholland is authorised to invoice the client without an accompanying purchase order.

  • An invoice is payable within 21 days of the date of the invoice. If the payment is not made within 21 days the client shall be required to pay the statutory business interest pursuant to section 119a of book 6 of the Dutch Civil Code throughout the period of non-payment.

  • If Careersinholland incurs any legal or non-legal costs as a result of non- or late payment of invoice, the client will become liable to pay such costs.

  • If the employment of a candidate terminates within the probation period of such employment (or 1 month if a probation period does not apply), a refund of the fee will be paid to the client by Careersinholland of 50% of the total placement fee. No refund will be payable to client if:

a. the client fails to notify Careersinholland of the termination of employment in writing within 14 days of such termination.

b. the client has failed to pay the invoice within 21 days of the date of the invoice.

c. the candidate is made redundant.

d. the cause of termination has no bearing upon the candidate's ability, integrity or character.

  • Careersinholland does not personally obtain references pertaining to a particular candidate, unless requested. Careersinholland takes no responsibility for any loss, damage or delay caused by the candidate. The client is responsible for ensuring the suitability and capability of a candidate for employment and for taking references to verify skills, qualifications, integrity, the necessity of any work permits and the satisfaction of any medical requirements.

  • Should any dispute arise regarding the correct interpretation of these standard terms and conditions of business, Dutch law will prevail, to be determined through independent legal advice. All costs related to this advice are to be payed by the client.
