The Job
Our hosting environment is an incalculably valuable part of our organization, and we strive to meet high quality standards to ensure optimal user experience and availability to all traffic visiting our gaming portals. For this reason, we seek a C/C++ Developer with at least 5 years of experience in a computing environment. The ideal candidate should be passionate about Linux environments and open-source technology and capable of extending and optimizing the open-source software we use. In this position, you will work as part of the Systems Development team to keep our hosting environment stable and scalable. Additionally, you will:
• Use knowledge and experience to analyze and optimize current systems and environments;
• Work closely with the Systems Engineers on the stability and scalability of our hosting environment; and
• Work in a team environment as well as independently to get the job done with minimum supervision.
We ask
Your Profile:
• HBO/Bachelor’s level education
• At least 5 years experience in a computing environment
• At least 3 years of C/C++ development experience
• Experience with Perl/PHP/Python is a plus
• Experience with nginx/FastCGI is a plus
• Extensive experience in developing in a Linux/Unix environment
• Experience as a Linux Systems Engineer
• Experience working with a source control like SVN
• Good knowledge of internet computing platforms
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English
