Energy Sales Consultant


Client, a UK headquartered energy Consultancy, is looking for a seasoned sales person that is experienced in consultative B2B sales. Energy knowledge is NOT essential but a successful track record is. This is a hunting role that requires interaction at financial director or procurement director level so needs a credible and intelligent personality. The companies that are targeted are medium to big and are likely to be spending at least 500,000 euros to 10m pa on power and gas. 

You will be will be selling risk management services around the purchasing of energy as a commodity. These services will include procurement advice and tendering, contract negotiation, renewable usage and hedging strategies. With the volatility of energy prices and the need for CO2 reductions this is a very interesting and active area that will be full of opportunities.

The role will cover the whole of the Netherlands but the office is in Rotterdam, and it would be best to be based in that area. The role will be a mixture of generating own leads and company generated leads.

We ask

- Multiple years of sales experience

- Good, proven track record

- Experience in the energy sector is a plus but not required. Proven ability to sell in a B2B environment is.

- Fluency in English, Dutch a major advantage

- Based in the Netherlands, preferably Rotterdam area, or willing and able to move on short notice

- EU/EER citizen. No work permit will be provided.

We offer

Excellent package offered. Very competitive base salary + bonus. Work from home can be considered since much time will be spent on the road. They will consider home working though as a lot of time will be spent on the road. Company car.
