The Job
Our customer is an international group of companies offering construction, heavy lifting and pipeline services to the oil & gas industry, both inshore and offshore, with a strong presence in West Africa. The group has offices in Africa, The Netherlands, Middle and Far East and operates a large and versatile fleet of vessels and barges, as well as supply bases and fabrication facilities in West Africa and the Middle East.
For our client in Lagos, Nigeria we are looking for an HR Manager with. Our client has several Vessels all over the world. As an HR Manager you will:
Head up the HR department
Prepare Contracts for offshore and office staff;
Recruit ship crews worldwide;
Recruit office, project and engineering staff;
Coordinate inquiries to agencies;
Be the focal point for staff questions about salary or contractual matters
Optimize the recruitment process;
Report to the General Manager;
Training and educate of staff
Delegate any of the above to the HR departmental staff.
Recruiting by HR Manager consists following people:
Marine crew (Captain, Engineer), Construction crew (Superintendent, barge foremen, anchor foremen, tower operator, welders, field engineers), Engineering staff (pipelay engineers, naval architects), fabrication staff etc.
We ask
B.Sc. / M.Sc. degree in a Technical, HR or Financial direction;
Experience in a Naval/Marine/Offshore Environment;
Fluent in English (spoken and written);
Excellent communication skills on all levels.
Must fit in a no-nonsense “work hard” environment.
